Intricacy CD Review – AFM Upbeat Journal Spring 2008

Along with accordionist /pianist Kim Darwin guitarist Tony Wilson and bassist Paul Blaney, Saul comes up with a unique sounding group performing six of his originals along with an original by Kim Darwin.  The group also performs “Ko Ko” by Duke Ellington and a John Klenner/Sam Lewis hi “Just Friends“.  Boris Sichon plays Darbuka on an original called “Corner of Cairo“.  There are plenty of “jazz surprises” on this CD and you won’t be disappointed in the overall creativity throughout.  Be prepared to expec thte unexpected as in “Corner of Cairo & Main.”Great and interesting jazz soos from everyone.  This is a very creative effort by all and is a well rehearsed and produced CD.  Add this CD to your collection of BC’s best jazz instrumental CD performances and you won’t regret it.  Contact Moco Loco Produtions by phone at 604-831-3167, by fax at 604-831-3167 or by email at [email protected]
